Utopia,is it really what we want?

The liberal Democrats have wanted a Utopian society for a very long time, they have worked hard and been patient. Working behind closed doors, making incrementally small steps, and keeping their agenda in the face of the public for so long. Now they have somehow, through some miracle of timing and charisma, gotten their wish. They have the government and media all in their corner, they have all the power and now they can make the big moves that will lead this country to Utopia. So what has happened? Why is there such an furor? Doesn't the population understand?

I don't think the liberals fully understand themselves what they are trying to do. This is the 1960's hippie generation finally seeing their beliefs take center stage; "give peace a chance," "why can't we all just get along" have been their mantras for a very long time. The Beatles songs, and specifically John Lennon, all talked about a world were there is no disagreement. In Utopia there is never any conflict between people, there is no upper nor under class, there is no unequal distribution of wealth, no hunger, no sadness, no pain. So now that those with this ideology are in power, why has it not just all fallen into place?

Do you liberals really understand what Utopia is? In the novel Of the Best State of a Republic, and of the New Island Utopia by Sir Thomas More, we catch a glimpse of a perfect society, where all evil has been removed from the society. Everything is equal for everyone, and nobody is allowed to be better than anyone else. Oh how wonderful and amazing such a world would be. HUH!? Not as I see it.

In Utopia there are no connections between people, you don't have any differences between peoples, everyone wears the same clothes, no individuality is allowed. All the houses are the same, the blocks all the same, the city streets all look the same; your yard looks like everyone else's yard, you drive the same car as everyone else. Your job is chosen for you, everyone receives the exact same education, there is no innovation, no progress. People have sex with anyone they want at any time they can, they have children out of wedlock (there is no institution of marriage). Hillary Clinton claims that you need a village to raise a child, well guess what this is where she got that idea, since there is no need for parents, a woman gives birth and the child becomes a member of the village, everyone takes care of the babies (or nobody, as is wont to happen more often than the other situation).

And since everyone receives the exact same education, there are no scientists, no doctors, no lawyers, no rulers. Do you liberals understand this, in your ideal society, you are done away with? Nobody will know if there is another Einstein amongst them because no one is allowed to excel above anyone else, no one is allowed to have talents different than everyone else. This is a society of mediocrity, STAGNANCY. All the liberals, with their agenda become just like everyone else. No one is allowed to prosper at the expense of someone else. No labor union bosses living off the dues of members, no lawyers representing the little guy suing the other little guy and sucking them both dry, no doctors to take care of the sick, no plumbers to deal with indoor plumbing (just think what that means, outdoor potties yup); indeed there is no specialization of any kind. And there is no need for a media of any kind, since there is never anything new happening to report on, everyday is just like the last day; the only thing that changes is the seasons and the weather.

Our current liberals all believe that because they hold this ideal agenda, they are somehow better than all the rest. And if only we would shut up and let them lead, we could all live in a perfect society. Well guess what, there are even more problems with the so called "ideal/Utopian" society than I have outlined. The main problem is human nature, all humans want self-determination - the right to be themselves, and make their own decisions; but there is none of this allowed in the ideal society. Everyone gives up their own personal rights for the good of society, including the liberals who think they are better than everyone else, and who want to determine for everyone else what is the ideal society.

And this is the road the liberals want to take us down.

Who are you?

I have just spent the better part of the last hour finding out who my representatives are. Let me tell you, it is not easy. All I want to know is who says they speak for me and what they are saying. So far I have been able to find out my state and federal legislators, their information is easy to find; the local representatives are much harder to find. Okay so now that I know who you all are, how are you performing at your job? This is the hard part and I have yet to find out what is going on at the local level. Do they make it this hard on purpose? I am beginning to wonder, does anyone in the political arena really want us the voters to really know what is going on? I think the answer to that may be "NO", they would love to see us completely in the dark as long as we keep sending them our tax dollars and keep putting them back into their offices. I have an idea of what is going on, but only because I keep getting the "pat myself on the back" letters from them, telling me what bills they have sponsored and what they want us to know about. But being a conscientious citizen, I am no longer satisfied with those "see how I great I am" letters; I want to know what is really going on behind those closed doors. I want a REAL job assessment. Send me a list of all the legislation that has crossed your desk, and let me know how you reacted to it, and then what actions you took on each and every bill. Is that too much to ask?Apparently!!!!!

the new look of Washington DC

Come November 3rd there will hopefully be a great turnover in Washington. But even if we take over there is a lot of hard work to be done. It will not be easy to repeal all the bad law that has been allowed to fester for way too many years. The healthcare bill is not the real problem, it is only the catalyst; the liberal left has been slowing (incrementally) changing the face of DC into their image for decades. The house cleaning will need to begin at the top. Okay, here is how I think the new DC should look.
1. There is no need for a national department of Education. They have done nothing but make our education system over, and lower the literacy of our next generation. I say there time is done, they need to be sent on a permanent unpaid sabbatical. The education of our children is best handled at the local level, and the bureaucrats in DC are only suckling on the tit and need to be weened.
2. Another department that needs to be weened off the taxpayers milk is Health and Human Services. To repeat, this is best handled at the local level. We do NOT need a federal department.
3. Can anybody tell me what the Department of Commerce does? Maybe we need them, but if we don't know what they do, why?
4. Department of the Interior should be downsized. We can keep the DNR, after all they take care of the National Parks, but this is another bloated department that sucks up a lot of tax money and what do we get from them?
5. The Agriculture department has become the antithesis of what the name stands for. For the most part they are in the business of paying farmers to not use their land.
6. Transportation. They need to be abolished, the interstate system is in place, there is no more need for the full operation of this department.
7. The Treasury department we do need to keep, although a bit of house cleaning could be done here as well.
8. We need to keep the Department of Defense, we could even expand this by merging the Department of Homeland Security and Defense into one house, and have them share. Okay I know sharing between department is not normal, but it would certainly help save us some money. Sharing is such a radical concept. And for that matter why is the Department of Veterans Affairs separate? They should all be merged under one Department of Defense.

Okay I think you are getting the point here, there are way too many cabinet departments, at last count 15. Do we REALLY need all these people in DC telling us how to live on the local level? We could certainly do with combining a bunch of them under one roof and come up with a grand total of four necessary departments.
1. Defense
2. State
3. Treasury
4. Attorney General

Along these same lines, do we really need 9 Justices on the Supreme court? For a large part of our history there were a lot less. I think that the next 4 justices to retire, we just let them retire, along with all their staffs. The court could function just as well (maybe better) with five, the only thing we need to make sure of is that there is an odd number and that there is sufficient diversity to allow a FAIR hearing.

Now I know that there is probably no one that will have the balls to actually do the house cleaning necessary, but at least I got this off my chest. The Constitution is alive. and the conservatives are not dead.

Obama-care specials

Remember Nancy Pelosi's now infamous statement, "We have
to pass the bill so you can find out what is in it"?
Now that ObamaCare is law, Americans are expressing
"buyer's remorse" at a quickly increasing rate.

Here are some of the "prizes" we are beginning to discover
inside ObamaCare:

Prize #1: Senior care has been gutted.

Jim Martin, chairman of the 60 Plus Association, laments
that ObamaCare will lead to HUGE cuts in services for
seniors, especially those on Medicare. The changes, he
says, are so extensive that they will inevitably lead to
rationing of care.

"You've got a report coming out from the New
England Journal of Medicine that nearly 45
percent of doctors may start refusing to
take Medicare patients. With fewer doctors
and fewer funds, that means more people in
line, and that means if you have to have
some kind of emergency operation or test
done, you're not going to get it. That's
why seniors are upset," Martin says.

Reports from other seniors' advocacy groups are similar -
with the notable exception of AARP. That iconic organization
betrayed their members' interests and supported ObamaCare
because of the enormous financial windfall they expect to
receive in their insurance business.

By filing our lawsuit against ObamaCare, Liberty
Counsel
is standing up for American seniors, who
above all others deserve coverage from a Medicare
system they paid into throughout their working years.

Prize #2: Bernie Madoff-style accounting.

One of the most painful revelations about ObamaCare is coming
through its unstated costs - the realities of budgeting and
implementing this monstrous bill over many years to come.
The bill's advertised price tag of one trillion dollars
was sheer fantasy.

ObamaCare's financial structure is based on a Ponzi Scheme
of collecting taxes for 10 years while only offering 6
years of service. In the post-passage light of day,
realistic cost estimates now range from $2.4 trillion
to unfathomably high numbers because the 2,700 page bill
is filled with loopholes that are subject to interpretation.

Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC) has repeatedly said that
ObamaCare could bankrupt our nation. Recently,
Massachusetts State Treasurer Tim Cahill, who
oversees the funding for the only state health
care
system comparable to ObamaCare, issued the
same prognosis.

There are literally scores of new bureaucracies listed in
the pages of the President's final bill. For instance,
16,500 unbudgeted new IRS Agents will have to be hired.
One thing is for sure: The ancillary costs of this
government takeover will far exceed those projected by
ObamaCare's architects.

Prize #3: Americans will pay higher prices for...everything.

According to the Wall Street Journal, ObamaCare's cost to
American corporations could reach $14 billion this year alone.
Companies like Prudential, Verizon, AT&T, John Deere, 3M,
Caterpillar, Valero Energy and others have already announced
the anticipated additional costs - and they are staggering.

Of course, American citizens will ultimately pay the price
for these rising costs, even for non-medical products and
services.

Prize #4: States are left holding the bag.

Fourteen states' attorneys general so far have filed lawsuits
against ObamaCare because it is unconstitutional and their
budgets are squarely in the crosshairs. By 2014, for instance,
states will be required to pay fully half of the administrative
costs that result from the expansion of Medicaid under the plan.

These are just a few of the myriad "prizes" in ObamaCare
that are coming to light. The actual cost of the 2,700-page
bill no one was allowed time to read before it was forced
through Congress is yet to be determined. One thing is
certain: There will be many more painful "discoveries" about
ObamaCare going forward.

++Henry Waxman, the congressional bully.

Those who find fault with ObamaCare must be very careful
about how they express their opinion. Apparently, ANY
negative report on ObamaCare is going to be squelched!

House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Henry Waxman
(D-CA) sent letters to the CEO's of companies reporting
huge additional costs from ObamaCare, demanding all
documents supporting their findings. Next, he wants to
see them on Capitol Hill for congressional hearings!

This bullying is nothing less than censorship
and suppression - the very Chicago-style
politics that the Obama/Pelosi/Reid axis
used to get their healthcare "reform" bill
passed. It is not to be tolerated!

++Liberty Counsel is fighting ObamaCare in court.

The federal government is forcing Americans to buy a product
against our will - or face a substantial penalty. THIS
MANDATE IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL!

As I have said, Liberty Counsel filed our lawsuit against
this unlawful health care "reform" package in Federal
District Court
the same day the President signed it into law.

Fighting ObamaCare in the courts is now our
best line of defense. We are quite confident
that we can win this battle. And since our
lawsuit is constructed from the perspective
of a public interest organization, it is
different than the states' suits that are
being filed by the attorneys general. It is
a vital compliment to the suits being filed
by the states and will receive its own
judicial process.

The facts of our case are clear: Congress lacks the authority
to force the American people into making insurance purchases.
Period. We are firmly resolved to resist the implementation
of ObamaCare's anti-freedom, anti-life, anti-family
provisions to the greatest extent possible.

special audio message on the current situation,
and to sign our "Statement of Support" for
litigation against ObamaCare.

++ObamaCare's advocates are demonizing their opposition.

The architects of healthcare "reform" are depicting those
who oppose ObamaCare as obstructionists, anti-progressives,
government haters, right-wing extremists and even racists.

The use of such unfounded labels is offensive. But when
ideologues can't win arguments on the basis of fact,
they often resort to personal attacks. Selling ObamaCare
after the fact is already turning into a highly divisive
name-calling campaign.

Equipped with White House talking points, congressional
liberals are now using their spring break to sell the
alleged benefits of ObamaCare to skeptical constituents.
Meanwhile, several leftist organizations have announced
multi-million dollar media blitzes to counter what they
are calling the "misinformation about ObamaCare."

Their hope is that by November, Americans will forget that
the Obama/Reid/Pelosi axis of power rammed an unwanted,
unconstitutional healthcare "reform" package through
Congress and into the personal lives of every American.

++Unfortunately for liberals, Americans WILL remember.

The socialist takeover of yet another key segment of the
American economy will NOT be forgotten! There is little
doubt that the November 2010 elections will bring great
change to the balance of power in Congress. But Liberty
Counsel
is taking action NOW in the federal court system
while also endorsing the "Repeal and Replace" legislative
movement that is concurrently gaining momentum.

++ObamaCare must be declared unlawful!

The unacceptable effects of President Obama's healthcare
"reform" are so alarming that this law MUST be struck
down as quickly as possible in a court of law.

Liberty Counsel has brought a powerful federal lawsuit
against the President's anti-life healthcare "reform"
bill. We need thousands of additional citizens to
stand with us.

Here is what I'm asking you to do...

1. Sign the Statement of Support for our lawsuit.

We will soon be delivering hundreds of thousands of these
Statements to all the key plotters behind ObamaCare. They
will ALL know they're not going to get away with this
subversion of our Constitution! Go here right now:

http://www.grassfire.net/r.asp?u=27004&RID=23338022

2. Forward this message to as many of your like-thinking friends
and relatives as possible.

This grassroots, Internet-based campaign is our best tool
to counter the slavishly pro-ObamaCare perspective being
broadcast by the Main Stream Media. Please make it a
priority to notify your circle of acquaintances about
our vital lawsuit!

The Danger of Incrementalism

The framers of the Constitution took great pains to protect the citizens of our great country from tyranny. The Bill of Rights is a list of things the federal government cannot do. Now, little by little, the federal government is controlling more and more of our way of life. It is controlling banks, car companies, guns, student loans, health care. If we woke up tomorrow and our right to vote was abolished, we would consider a coup. But if the government tried to "fix" the election by allowing illegal aliens to vote, or allow certain people to vote multiple times, we would be less likely to question their motives. We the people would not allow a group of lawmakers to declare that they would not allow any more guns to be owned by the citizens. We could easily cry "unconstitutional." But if restriction is placed upon restriction, we could potentially say our leaders are just trying to protect us.

The health care bill does not immediately shut down insurance companies and make the government the decision-maker for all of our lives. But the eventual effect will be just that, because it is done one step at a time, slowly, after the citizens have adjusted to another government intrusion. Yes, we are truly losing our country, our freedoms, our way of life; and possibly, likely, given the current trajectory, it will be soon. God forbid.
