What is really going on with Lance Armstrong

I know the whole long sordid story. But it is what is going on between the lines of the story that may be more telling than the details.

Lance Armstrong overcame testicular cancer and was an elite athlete for over a decade. The media built him up over time, making him into an American hero. Companies all over the world jumped onto the Lance Armstrong bandwagon, wanting his face on their products. His face was know all over the world, not just here in America, he was a universal icon.

So what happened?  The very same thing that has been happening to many celebrities for many many decades. It happened with Tiger Woods, and Michael Phelps as well. The media loves to build up an athlete and then drag them down through the mud and dirty up their reputations and ruin their names.  We cannot just allow the athletes to be human, we have to make them into super humans and then rejoice in tearing them down.

But it is not just about the athletes. This is just another of a long line of attacks against American Exceptional-ism that has climaxed with the Obama apology tour of the middle east.  It has become fashionable to bash Americans and tear them down.  The third world is lining up to take credit for the accomplishments of American pioneers and great thinkers.  I was appalled when Obama announced the new goal of NASA was to recognize the contributions of Muslims to the space program.  The way I see it, if Muslims had been as big of contributors to the sciences, we would not have to specially recognize them.  By doing so he was down playing the exceptional contributions of Americans of all other descents. Why not recognize the contributions of Native Americans? or Asian Americans? or maybe Christian or Jewish Americans?

America is exceptional, we have a political system that allows greatness to be manifest, whether that is through the hard work an athlete puts into his sport or for the scientists who put men on the moon. And now, whether Lance Armstrong is guilty or not of the steroidal doping he is accused of, another example of what is good about America is being ripped from our hands and our hearts, incrementally.

This has more to do with defeating American Exceptional-ism than it does with Lance Armstrong and the Tour-de-France titles that he has been stripped of.

Voices without a vote

This is who will win or lose by our actions, they have a right to be heard.

We, in America, have redefined greed and charity, envy and covetousness. I for one do not understand how a man who gave a large percentage of his income to charity can be called greedy, and a man who steals from the general treasury to pay for his lavish lifestyle is called generous.
How much of the money that the president has wasted on vacations and golf could have been better spend on AIDS research, or Juvenile Diabetes or even for food stamps? The whole world has been turned upside down and anyone who can put two thoughts together needs to put a couple of thoughts together before they fall for the lies being told by our president.
I personally would rather see a leader who know what real charity is; income redistribution is not charity, it bastardizes the system by giving a false sense of charity for paying your taxes and removes the responsibility of the individual to care for those less fortunate.
I do not see progressives giving more money directly to charity, all they demand is more taxes. Charity starts when you open your own wallet and give, whether that be: of your money or your time or your compassion or your empathy or whatever you have. And that means that NO ONE is off the hook, these days only those with money, A.K.A "the rich," are expected to contribute to charity, the poor get a pass; but the poor can give just as much as the rich, only in other ways like time and energy.
For this reason, the current idea of taxing the rich to pay for the underclass will never work, because it removes the responsibility of each human to take care of his brother. And yet, being conservative I am called the greedy one and the compassionate liberal who refuses to give anything other than tax money is called generous.
Charity starts at home, not in Washington D.C. We have been told the poor will be with us always, ever stop to think why. It is because charity is meant to be for both the giver and the receiver. You will never feel it if all you do is pay your taxes.

Where's my vote?

 I know, voter fraud is rare, but take a look at this.



To say that election fraud is rare is like a man standing under an apple tree, and seeing one apple on the ground, declares unequivocally that apples are rare. And that there is absolutely no need for baskets to collect them. Even after a crowd encourages him to look above his head, he refuses and continues to affirm that apples are rare. Not realizing that all he needs to do is look up and he will see the thousands of apples ready to be picked and preparing to fall.  All we need to do is stop denying the election fraud and it will become clear.

All these stories and witnesses have been ignored and denigrated, where is the rule of law in this country?  If you don't apply a standard equally, you don't have a standard.

We need American jobs

If only more people in DC would think like this, maybe we can begin cleaning up the mess the previous scoundrels made for us.

This is not about right or left, this is not about Democrat or Republican, this is about America. The TEA Party is about America!

Don't you find it ridiculous that it takes so many pages to define what a authorized borrower is? And that is only the tip of the iceberg. There are so many layers of regulation placed on our job creators, its no wonder they move over seas. In fact our jobs czar, Jeffrey Immelt has decided to move GE out of Wisconsin, and move to China.  And Obama accuses Romney of outsourcing.

Watch the speech again. That is what true bi-partisanship looks like.

I'm guessing that, other than the 20-25 percent hardcore liberals in the US , citizens will agree that this is just another example why this is the worst president in American history. Remind everyone over and over how this man thinks, refuses to salute the American flag, and he bows to the Saudi Arabian king..."

And I am adding.... He praises the OWS crowd, gives amnesty to illegal aliens, refuses to require welfare recipients find work, forces religious institutions to cover abortions (violating their conscience),  makes getting a job harder than getting SSI, and blames it all on his predecessor.

 The real reason that Nancy Pelosi is considering retiring is that
    they took her Jet away.

    As a result of a Judicial Watch filing under the Freedom of
    Information Act, the USAF released documents detailing House Speaker
    Pelosi's use of United States Air Force aircraft between March 2009
    and June 2010. The data are published in the Judicial Watch Verdict
    of December 2010, Volume 16, Issue 12.

    Here are the main highlights revealed by the USAF. Keep in mind that
    all the data below relate to United States Air Force aircraft used
    by one woman over a sixteen month period.

    Several of these flights included Ms. Pelosi's guests, such as grown
    children, grandchildren, various in-laws, friends and hangers-on.
    Over 95% of the trips were between the west coast and Washington ,
    DC , for what you might call a commute between home and the office.
    READ it and WEEP!!

    -Total trips: 85 over a 68 week period, or 1.25 average trips per week.
    -Total mileage: 206,264 miles, or 2,427 average miles per trip.
    -Total flying time: 428.6 hours, or an average of 5 hours per trip.
    -Cost to the taxpayers: *$2,100,744*, or $27,715 per trip, or
    $1,285,162 per year!
    -Cost of in flight food and alcohol: $101,429; $1,193 per trip;
    $62,051 per year.

    On one junket to Baghdad, according to the Air Force report, she had
    the aircraft bar stocked with Johnny Walker Red Scotch, Grey Goose
    Vodka, E&J Brandy, Bailey's Irish Cream, Maker's Mark Whiskey,
    Courvoisier Cognac, Bacardi Rum, Jim Beam Whiskey, Beefeater Gin,
    Dewar's Scotch, Bombay Sapphire Gin, Jack Daniels Whiskey, Corona
    Beer and several varieties of wine. This was obviously a very
    important "gubment bidness" trip.

    Evidence generally speaks for itself, and in Ms. Pelosi's case it
    speaks the language of abuse and (evidently) a serious familial
    drinking problem, for in a single year she and her spawn drank an
    amount in excess of the net income of the average employed American!
    When she said, "... If the stimulus doesn't pass, five hundred
    million people might lose their jobs...", I thought she was
    unintentionally revealing her ignorance. I'm now more inclined to
    think she was pickled.

    Even though she can no longer abuse the USAF, she can either fly on
    her broom, or fly Southwest Airlines, where bags fly free.

    If you are an AMERICAN citizen it is YOUR DUTY to PASS THIS ON!!
